    Taste better toasted

The bread is good if you toast it first. Untoasted it is kinda doughy and sawdusty. other than that it is pretty good. It is quite expensive compared to regular bread. Wish the price was more reasonable since I am on a low income budget and suffer from celiac disease.

    Multigrain bread has large cracks

I use many of your products and generally like them all. However the last 3 loaves of multigrain bread that I have purchased have all had large cracks in many of the slices. There is actually a picture of the typical cracked slices on your facebook page. The expiration date on my current cracked loaf is April 27,2013. It is very disappointing to pay so much for this poor quality.

    Multigrain Bread

I am a Type 1 diabetic and also have Celiac disease... I love this bread..the taste is great, but, the 'big' problem is it falls apart....I love toast, and the sandwiches are great...I buy it a Shaws market, no other place has it...and it is $6.39 a loaf....very expensive...not many slices in a loaf...almost every loaf now that I buy, has a split down the middle... Will continue to buy it...and other products.. CJ

    Very disappointing

After being so happy with the baguettes, I thought surely this one would be a winner. Not only did the bread fall apart, making it completely useless for anything other than bread pudding or bread crumbs, it didn't taste good either. It was sort of like eating sawdust. Seems everyone else had problems with it falling apart, as well. I opened mine the same day I bought it. So it wasn't stale.

Yes, I've had the crust of my Schar bread crumble off from time to time; however, I've NEVER been disappointed in the Classic White. In my opinion, it tastes best toasted! Toasting it brings out the flavor and honestly I don't even realize it's gluten free, judging by taste. In fact, my four year old wants my gluten-free bread all the time, verses regular bread.

"Refreshing Instructions" on Schar Classic White Bread indicates: "For Optimal taste, you can toast, microwave, or briefly bake the bread slices." Although I've never tried the multi-grain, I've never been disappointed in the Classic White! Give it a try ;)

    Same Thing

The resent purchase of a loaf of the multigrain bread had a split down the middle thru the whole loaf. I have used Schar products for some time now with no problems, I do hope this is temporary problem. Side note; when this happens it still makes good crutons.

    Every slice is split!!!!

This bread is hard to deal with, can't make a sandwich and it's even hard to put in a toaster due to every slice has rips or holes in it, I fed it to the birds. . .at $5.69 a loaf that's expensive bird feed. The white version of this bread seems to be fine.

    Not pleased with bread lately

We found this bread for our son who has to be gluten free. For the last 2-3 months every package of bread we get the top portion of the bread is falling off. It is one of the better breads we found and have enjoyed it until we are having to piece a sandwich together. HOpefully its only a temp problem for us.

    Best Bread!!

I LOVE this bread! It tastes like the "real" bread I use to eat. I thought I was doomed to eat cardboard tasting bread for the rest of my life until I found this bread. Bread is an important part of life and when you find out you have allergies/intolerances to wheat, eggs and milk, theres panic. But my life is saved with this product and many of Schar's products. Thanks so much!

    I love this bread!

I tasted this bread for the first time yesterday. It is really good gluten free bread, I only wish that it was less expensive. I'll still continue to buy it because it beats the taste of the rice breads, and Udi's bread which is full of holes! Good product - thanks for the coupon.

    Schar Multigrain Bread

I have been GF for 14+ years, and have baked excellent breads. Found Schar Rustico bread in Sweden 6 years ago - seriously thought of moving to Europe -- I could finally have buttered toast! I started getting it from Europe after that. I have been in heaven since I found this bread (Multigrain in USA) at home in California. I have tried all other so-called good GF breads, but nothing beats Schar.

    Worst Bread Ever

Even as a last option I would not use this bread. I realize that gluten free bread is never the same as the real thing, but seriously this is the worst bread I have ever had. Gluten free or otherwise. Even toasted I couldn't eat it. It was dry, crumbly, too sweet, and has just tasted funny. I can't believe that this bread was ever market tested before production or it never would have made it to production. Don't waste your money. There are WAY better options out there.

Not a fan of the Multigrain either but the White Bread is better. I like that toasted with jam and a little butter. Use it in French Onion Soup.

Dear Tressa, Sorry to hear that you do not enjoy our bread. We do encourage you to try par-baked items, such as our Ciabatta Roll. They have a softer texture, since you 'finish' them by baking it for about 5-10 minutes. Best, Anna from Schar

    Trick to GF bread

All GF bread is disappointing especially if you know what "real" bread tastes like, however there are ways around it - I always toast it (even if I'm packing a lunch) and put condiments on both sides. I don't go through a loaf that quickly so I keep mine in the freezer and put it straight in the toaster... Lasts longer and I find it doesn't get crumbly. Schar is by far the best!

This Delivery Product Unfit...Can't EAT. I want edible bread!!!!

I am So Upset with the Product...Multi-Grain GF Bread I thought I finally found a good multigrain gf bread... I ordered 6 loaves last time and one was a shriveled hard loaf in the package. I didn't realize it until I got to the last two loaves. I thought that it was just one messed up loaf and was going to let it go. I just received my next six loaves and checked the loaves. Five are shriveled hard small lumps in a shrink wrap that is unedible....What is the Problem? vivagypsy@yahoo.com

    Fantastic

This is right up there with the best bread baked at your local bakery, and beats everything else on the shelves at the local grocery/health store by miles. A friend brought me a loaf back from her vacation, and I can't wait for you to bring your bread to Canada.
