This page is linked to a 'Favorite' version of the recipe that creates the crust with 1 cup of Schar shortbread cookies and 1/2 cup ground walnuts and the same 1/4 cup butter (see http://www.schar.com/us/cooking-baking/recipe-collection/favorite-recipes/). Odd that the two recipes don't match. Since the 'Favorite' version only makes 1 1/2 cups of crust, not two (like above), I wonder if it is enough to fill the pie plate. Might the amount of butter be too much, too?

I use the same cookies to make my crust for a pudding pie only I add 1/4 cup sugar to the cookies,and the butter. I put this recipe on the comments page for the shortbread cookies
