Did you know that some snacks can also be good for you??

Well it is true. Our wafer cookies are a good example. In something that looks like a great treat for the kids lies hidden an indulgent gluten free dessert solution for adults. In addition to a mild sweet taste, crunchy texture, the wafers are also cholesterol free and low sodium. The vanilla and chocolate wafers are also dairy free. The hazelnut wafers are truly a healthy snack choice as they contain hazelnut cream. What more could you want in a gluten free dessert – taste and nutrition! 

In addition to being great light snacks by themselves, our wafers also be used to dress up some of our favorite desserts. 

Try a chocolate parfait with hazelnut wafers, or a light ambrosia with crunchy vanilla wafers. Check our recipe section for more tasty ways to enjoy or wafers. But don’t worry you can still enjoy them right out of the box. 

Chocolate pudding parfait
4 cups Chocolate pudding (readymade or from a prepared mix)
12 hazelnut wafers – cut into pieces
¾ cup whipped cream
Chocolate shavings - optional 

1. Place 3 tablespoons of chocolate pudding in each of the dessert cups.
2. Place the hazelnut wafer pieces on top of the pudding.
3. Place a dollop of whipped cream on top of the wafers.
4. Cover the wafers and cream with the remaining chocolate pudding.
5. Garnish with chocolate shavings if desired.

Ice cream petite fours
1 quart ice cream
1 box vanilla wafers
Toppings of choice: chocolate chips, maraschino cherries, sprinkles, chocolate sauce etc. 

1. Line a cookie sheet with wax paper or aluminum foil.
2. Let ice cream soften just slightly.
3. Place wafers on cookie sheet.
4. On each wafer spread a layer of ice cream – approximately ¼ inches thick.
5. Top each bar or finger with chocolate chips, maraschino cherries, or sprinkles.
6. Place in freezer to harden.
7. Serve right from freezer.
